Cleaning of graves at Manila North, South cemeteries ends

by Carl Santos

VISITORS to the Manila North and South cemeteries were given until Wednesday, October 25, to clean, paint, and renovate the graves of their departed loved ones.

The guidelines were issued by the two cemeteries ahead of next week’s commemoration of All Saints Day (November 1) and All Souls Day (November 2).

The last day of interment and cremation is October 29.

The main gates of the cemeteries are open from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. from October 30 to November 2.

Starting October 26 to November 2, the following items are prohibited inside the cemeteries:

  • alcoholic beverages
  • flammable materials such as paint and thinner
  • firearms and any sharp objects
  • videoke or anything that causes a loud sound
  • deck cards, bingo cards, or any form of gambling
  • pets
  • vehicles except for funeral car service on October 28 to 29
