Arjo unleashes poetic side in heartfelt message for wife Maine; more wedding details revealed

ARJO Atayde may just be the happiest man to date after saying “I do” to the love of his life, fellow celebrity Maine Mendoza. As they embark on the new chapter of their life, he made a promise to her that he sealed in a poem.

The actor-politician posted the poem online shortly after their intimate Baguio wedding on July 28 – exactly 10 years since Maine made her prophetic “Arjo cutie” tweet.

The 7-stanza poem, titled “Cheers to Forever,” was filled with heart-melting promises of an undying love to last a lifetime.

The full poem reads:

Cheers to Forever

In a world where time dances swiftly by,

Where moments fade and memories die,

Let us raise a glass to a love so rare,

A bond unbreakable, beyond compare.

Cheers to forever, where hearts entwine,

Where love’s flame burns with a light divine,

Through stormy seas and skies serene,

Together we stand, a united team.

In laughter and tears, we find our way,

Hand in hand, come what may,

Through seasons of joy and trials we face,

Our love, a fortress, a sacred space.

The wedding

Since they started dating, the couple has kept their relationship mostly low-key, save for some occasional posts. For their wedding, they still kept the public guessing as to its whereabouts, including its exact date and venue before the big day.

But shortly after they were officially declared as Mr. and Mrs. Arjo Atayde, photos from the wedding made their way online.

Reports said the couple had their Chirstian wedding at the Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges Chapel.

Twitter page @menggalurks– a fanpage providing updates about the life of the E.A.T host– posted a few snaps from the couple’s Baguio wedding.

One photo showed Maine and Arjo exchanging a newly-married kiss as happy guests around them cheered.

Who witnessed the “I dos?”

Despite the rainy weather, their wedding was well-attended by family and friends, especially from showbiz.

The most important attendees would have to be no less than the parents of the bride and the groom.

One photo showed the couple posing with Maine’s parents Teodoro and Mary Ann Mendoza and Arjo’s parents actress Sylvia Sanchez and Arturo Atayde.
