Workers on Taylor Swift’s Eras tour receive bonuses totaling over $55 million

by Izel Abanilla

Multi-awarded American singer Taylor Swift made sure that her dancers, sound technicians, caterers, truck drivers, and riggers who worked for her successful Eras Tour received a hefty bonus.

She was so generous that the bonuses amounted to $55 million, according to a People report.

Swift’s Eras Tour has been one of the biggest concert events of the year. Besides the Grammy award-winning singer’s generational hits, her fans are also eager to witness her set design, performance, and costumes.

The amount of pressure needed to pull off such a big concert is insane, and giving everyone bonuses is her way of expressing her gratitude.

TMZ had initially reported that she gave her tour truckers $100,000 each.

The 33-year-old singer started her tour in Glendale, Arizona, bringing with her a 44-song setlist. Last June, Swift announced that she would be taking her tour around the world across Europe, Asia, and Australia.

The singer-songwriter’s sold out shows have attracted over 70,000 fans each night.

“Good morning, America, it’s Taylor,” Swift said during the announcement

“I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time and I’ve been planning for ages, and I finally get to tell you I’m going back on tour. The tour is called the ‘Eras’ tour, and it’s a journey through all of my musical eras of my career.”

Filipino fans, however, were devastated when tour dates for Asia did not include the Philippines.
