Thomas Brodie-Sangster weds Talulah Riley

by RepublicAsia

“Maze Runner” star Thomas Brodie-Sangster and “Pride and Prejudice” actress Talulah Riley have tied the knot, nearly a year after they announced their engagement.

Brodie-Sangster, 34, and Riley, 38, got blissfully married at the 14th-century St. George’s Church, in the romantic village of Anstey in Hertfordshire.

Here’s a recap of their dating story:

2021: Their first meeting

According to Los Angeles Times, they first met in 2021 on the set of the Disney+ miniseries “Pistol.” Soon after, romance rumors circulated that same year after the two were spotted holding hands in London. Were they already dating then?

2022: Their debut as a couple

The British Academy Film Awards 2022 Gala Dinner in March 2022 was the first event they attended as a couple, confirming rumors that they had developed feelings soon after they met. On June 11, 2022, Riley posted a set of pictures of them together on her Instagram, all taken from different timelines. Hmm, does this imply a romantic relationship even before they made it public?

That same year, Riley kept posting updates of her life with the “Maze Runner” star. In a sporting event that they attended, Getty Images uploaded photos of the lovey-dovey couple. Riley posted the images right after. By this time, the public knew the relationship was getting serious.

2023: They’re engaged!

Brodie-Sangster announced their engagement on his Instagram page: “Happy to announce that Talulah and I are engaged. Love is all around X,” he captioned. Riley also shared this exciting news on X. She said, “Very happy to share that after two years of dating, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and I are engaged,” to which her ex-husband Elon Musk, a tech billionaire, commented, “Congratulations.” According to Riley, they were good friends.

Truly, love is all around and gives us multiple chances at happiness. So when is the long-awaited wedding?

2024: Their wedding

On May 23, 2024, Riley posted their pictures as an engaged couple in a garden filled with beautiful flowers.

Then, on June 22, 2024, they sealed their love with their wedding vows: to love and to cherish, until parted by death. The new husband-and-wife were seen overflowing with delight as their guests showered them with confetti. They held hands and walked at the churchyard before going into a carriage, their first ride as a married couple.

Riley played Mary Bennet in “Pride and Prejudice” (2005), a film based on a novel set in the 1800s, a time when the carriage was the common vehicle to use. Her love story with Brodie-Sangster somehow gives a joyful ending to the character she once successfully portrayed.

So, is love all around? Indeed, it is. It has lived in different times, it lives in the form of given chances for love.
