This is true for a lot of relationships and romances in showbiz.
Fans fall hard for the love teams that they tend to create make-believe realities about their idols romantically. People usually expect love teams to eventually fall for each other and be together and anyone who gets in the way shall take the bitter end of the stick.
Indeed there have been a number of romances in the past that had to hide to give way to their partner’s powerful love team and things, as expected, did not end well with them.

Asia’s Multimedia star Alden Richards is one half of one of the most phenomenal love teams on Philippine television, AlDub. He shares the team-up with break-out star Maine Mendoza who made a sensational rise to fame when with her comic character Yaya Dub.
Their team-up was tainted when Maine admitted that she was already in a relationship with actor and now Quezon City 1st District Rep. Arjo Atayde.
Little did the public know that behind the scenes, Alden too had a brewing romance with another Kapuso singer-actress, Julie Anne San Jose.
“I’m really sorry for what happened, iniwan kita, there’s no one to blame but me and sana napatawad mo na ko and okay po siya kausap that time,” Alden said.
- Angelu de Leon and Joko Diaz
Back in the ‘90s, no one would argue that Angelu de Leon was one of the biggest teen stars of the decade. As the lead star of the defunct teen-oriented program “T.G.I.S,” she was every guy’s dream girl and every girl’s dream self.
Her career peaked even more during her team-up with Bobby Andrews. But at the height of her popularity with him, people did not know she was actually secretly dating action star Joko Diaz.
Until one day she shocked her fans with the news that she was pregnant with their child. News of her pregnancy had affected not only her career but “Growing Up,” the spinoff program of “T.G.I.S” and Bobby’s career as well.
When she came back after her pregnancy, she started to do sexy roles.

Another romance kept behind a love team was that of Jericho Rosales and Cindy Kurleto.
Back in the early 2000, Jericho’s team-up with actress Kristine Hermosa was at peak. He was doing movies and television series left and right with Kristine who was his ex-girlfriend. But even as they were seen as a love team, Jericho was said to be romantically linked to Cindy.
