SB19 delights fans with Hollywood Boulevard performance

by Joanna Deala

P-pop boy group SB19 is in Los Angeles, California, for the U.S. leg of their Pagtatag! tour. But aside from the concert, the quintet had another gift for their international fans.

In a series of Instagram stories, the quintet went to the middle of the iconic Hollywood Boulevard to treat their fans to dance performances of their hit songs Bazinga and Gento.

Proud A’Tins could not help but gush over the members and sing along to their songs while they showcased their electrifying moves.

Many fans expressed their appreciation to SB19 for performing live and up close for free despite the scorching heat.

“Concert on the streets, free for all. Plus, parang di po napagod sa [concert] kagabi ah,” a Twitter fan page said.

Their blazing performance also caught the attention of non-P-pop fans.

A netizen shared on Twitter that she and her husband were walking towards a store when they spotted a huge crowd. She jokingly told her husband that a K-pop group or SB19 might be in the area.

Lo and behold, they saw SB19’s leader, Pablo, and then her husband, who is an A’Tin, ran towards the crowd.

“So, I was telling hubs & our friends about a [P-pop] group & mentioned to watch [one] of their MV[s], Gento. Hubs said the song was catchy. I am not a fan of them, but yesterday made me so amazed. Hubs started playing their songs in the car after the busking,” she said.

Some A’Tins become nostalgic as they recall how SB19 went from only performing at a local mall with little to no audience to drawing huge crowds.

“[I]t really does drive us crazy with how things are happening in your career, but one thing is for sure, YOU DESERVE EVERY BLESSING YOU ARE RECEIVING NOW. That is the fruit of your hard work,” a fan tweeted.

Wish Bus USA guesting

SB19 had another live performance on Wish Bus USA after the Hollywood Boulevard busking.

The group serenaded A’Tins with I Want You and Liham and hyped them up with Crimzone. The atmosphere gave off a mini-concert vibe as many fans flocked outside the Wish Bus USA headquarters.

“Wish bus na yan pero parang concert scene pa rin [SB19]!! Inupuan nyo lang ang crimzone,” a fan said on Twitter.

Another netizen, meanwhile, praised the dedication of SB19 to their craft.

“The fact that just a while ago they were dancing intensively under the scorching heat of the sun, and still they can give you these superb vocals, makes you realize just how talented they are,” the netizen tweeted.

SB19 is set to bring their Pagtatag! concert to New York, New York, and Washington, D.C. this weekend, before flying to Toronto for the Canada leg of their tour.
