Ridiculous FB events that might interest you, too

by RepublicAsia

GETTING tired of the same gimmicks to do with your friends? You might want to check out these Facebook events that pass by your newsfeed nowadays. Most of them are kinda ridiculous, but that’s the point! The more ridiculous, the more fun it brings.

The past weeks have brought a surge of funny and weird Facebook events that have entertained users who share and express false interest in them. Nobody knows when this will stop as it is heavily fueled by Filipinos’ humor and creativity.

The events vary and include fistfights, swimming, dance battles, vehicle races, and even creating a landform in the middle of a resort! Facebook events include details that would be seen by the guests but these shouldn’t be taken seriously. Can you imagine a night-swimming activity that will be held in broad daylight?

Here are some of the wittiest Facebook events that you might want not to miss:

Many of you might be wondering: how did these nutty ideas even start and why is it so hard to stop?

These ridiculous Facebook events seem to be inspired by the OG “Suntukan sa ACE Hardware” which was scheduled on April 15, 2016, at ACE Hardware Lucena, Quezon branch.

It was inadvertently stumbled upon by users, causing the event to resurface after a long time. It made users recall the chaotic nature of the incident, ultimately turning it into an Internet meme.

It was so viral that even the official Facebook page of ACE Hardware had to issue a statement denying that a “suntukan” (brawl) that will happen in the store.
