PridePH sets date for this years’ Pride Event

by RepublicAsia

PridePH–the widest LGBTQIA+ non-profit organization in the country, has officially announced the plans for this year’s highly anticipated Pride Event.

In a series of posts across their numerous social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly twitter), the organization announced that this year’s Pride Event titled, “#LoveLaban2Everyone” will be held at the Quezon Memorial Circle, Quezon City on June 22, 2024.

In their posts, the organization included an exciting call to action for potential attendees, “Isang buwan na lang, Ready na ba rumampa? In 2023, 110,000 tayong nakiisa. G ulit this year? Tara na, wear your Pride colors and celebrate YOU in this historic event.” This statement, filled with anticipation and enthusiasm, encourages members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies to don their Pride colors and join in the celebration of identity and love.

Last year’s pride event, which carried the same theme of “Love Laban: A celebration of the Fight for love in All Forms and Ways,” made history by being the largest pride vent in the entirety of Southeast Asia garnering about 110,000 attendees.

The response from the online community was overwhelmingly positive. Pride advocates responded with their own excitement and expressed their sentiments about the upcoming event.

One comment on PridePH’s Facebook post read, “See you mga gays!’

PridePH concluded their post with a message, “Let’s make history again this year.” The organization is clearly set on repeating, if not surpassing, the triumph of last year’s event.
