Malacañang suspended government work and classes in Metro Manila on Friday due to inclement weather caused by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
However, agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic health services, preparedness and response to disasters, and the performance of other vital services will continue with their operations, the Palace said in Memorandum Circular 30 issued by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
The Palace left the suspension of work in the private companies and offices to the discretion of their respective heads.
