Is it a bad idea to hear a new song from Filipino-American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo? Well, not for her fans, who have been waiting for her comeback.
The 20-year-old artist has unveiled a teaser for her forthcoming song, “Bad Idea Right?” which will be released on Friday.
Rodrigo posted on her social media accounts a photo of her looking at a mirror, where the song title was written using red lipstick.
“Bad Idea Right?” is part of her second studio album, “GUTS.” The 12-track album will be released on September 8.
The album will include songs namely, “All-American Bitch,” “Vampire,” “Lacy,” “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl,” “Making the Bed,” “Logical,” “Get Him Back!,” “Love is Embarrassing,” “The Grudge,” “Pretty isn’t Pretty,” and “Teenage Dream.”
Her Filipino fans, meanwhile, could not hide their excitement about the song.

“Bad Idea Right?” is the second song Rodrigo has dropped from her forthcoming album, following the release of “Vampire” on June 30.
Rodrigo’s last album was “SOUR,” which came out in 2021. The album includes her hit songs “Traitor,” “Drivers License,” and “Deja Vu,” among others.
Dominating Billboard charts
The songs in Rodrigo’s second album almost took up the entire Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart, along with K-pop boy group TREASURE.
On Friday morning (Philippine time), Billboard announced that Rodrigo’s songs grabbed the second to 10th places. “Get Him Back” placed second, followed by ‘’Lacy’’ in third place.
