New love? Mark Leviste flies to US to spend Valentine’s with Kris Aquino

by Izel Abanilla

While Queen of All Media Kris Aquino’s medical ordeal is still far from over, her heart at least seems to be feeling happiness once again.

This was after “a very determined man” flew 13 hours each way” to spend a few days with her on her 52nd birthday, which also happened to be Valentine’s Day.

In an Instagram post, Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste proudly flaunted a photo of him together with the actress who has been based in the US for her medical treatments.

What’s even more telling in his post was his caption.

“Made it just in time for your birthday and Valentine’s Day,” he said.

“It may have taken more than 7k miles to be with you, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Although we have been apart, now that we’re together fills my heart. It is for this reason my love and my dear you will always and forever feel near,” he added.

He finished his romantic post with a “Happy birthday to you and Happy Valentine’s Day to us, @krisaquino.”

But Kris was quick to follow this up with a clarification.

She said they were “together physically in the same place.”

“I appreciate all your effort (through the years) but please clarify that we agreed the best foundation for any and all relationships is friendship. I know I state with 100% accuracy, you are my best male friend,” she added.

Pre-reveal tease

Hours before Leviste made his reveal, Aquino posted a teaser about distance not being a factor if love is true.

She began her post by sharing the details about their temporary home. She then gave credit to her “wonderful support system” consisting of her sons and a few others.

She then made a reference to somebody who traveled far to see her.

“You need to be a very determined man of your word to fly 13 hours each way to spend a few days with me on my birthday. For his effort I am GRATEFUL…,” she said.

Netizens were then quick to speculate that the actress was referring to the Vice Governor.

Aquino, however, did not confirm the identity of this man.
