LAST Sunday, South Korean girl-group NewJeans took home the Top Global K-pop Artist award at the Billboard Music Awards. 

Ever since their debut in 2022, NewJeans had since then been blasted with the sweet smell of success. With many fans enjoying their hit tracks Ditto, OMG, and SuperShy—it is undeniable that their presence on the Billboard chart is very well expected. 

Winning the place of Top Global K-pop Artist is a huge milestone for their career. 

Other than having to take home the title of being the ‘Top Global K-pop Artist,’ NewJeans had beat some of the biggest artists in the K-pop Industry. Which includes Jimin from BTS, Stray Kids, TWICE, and TOMORROW x TOGETHER.  

While reaching the award, Hyein had expressed her gratitude upon winning the award.  “We have been nominated in this category alongside such incredible artists we look up to. It’s an honor in itself. We are so grateful for this opportunity to perform at the Billboard Music Awards.” 

While making the speech, Minji had also expressed her gratitude by explaining the importance of winning the award. She stated that it was a reminder for them of all the love and support that they are receiving from the Bunnies (the fans).
