MMDA: Weekend road repairs in QC, Parañaque

THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced that there will be several roads in Quezon City and Parañaque City that will be temporarily closed to motorists this weekend due to road reblocking and repairs by the Department of Public Works and Highways. 

According to the MMDA there will be maintenance activities from 11 p.m. of Friday, June 28, until 5 a.m. of Monday, July 1.

Along the roads included in Parañaque City is Taft Avenue, Quirino Ave. to MRT Baclaran (outer lane).

While in Quezon City, the roads affected include:Tandang Sora, Tierra Pura Homes to New Era School; Congressional Ave., Ext., between Tandang Sora Ave. and Visayas Ave; Regalado Ave. (North), going to North Caloocan; Quirino Highway; North Ave. (NB), Senador Mirriam P. Defensor- Santiago Ave., 1st lane from sidewalk; Congressional Ave., Ext., in front of Shell, truck lane; Mindanao Avenue, in front of Veterans Entrance, 1st lane from sidewalk; Congressional Ave., Ext., in front of Uni Oil, truck lane; Sgt. Rivera, corner Skyway Bypass Road to A. Bonifacio Avenue 2nd lane from sidewalk; A. Bonifacio Avenue, 5th Avenue to Cloverleaf Interchange EDSA, 1st lane from sidewalk; Quirino Highway, Sagitarius St. to corner Mindanao Avenue, 1st lane from sidewalk; Quirino Highway, Baesa Cemetery to Masagana and Mendez Road to Baesa Road, 2nd lane from sidewalk; and Commonwealth Avenue, Luzon Avenue to Central Avenue, 2nd lane from sidewalk

According to the MMDA, motorists should simply take alternate routes.

They also said that the affected roads would be fully passable again by 5 a.m. of July 1.
