Miss Universe PH extends application deadline

BEAUTY queen aspirants now have more time to prepare for their bid for a crown as Miss Universe Philippines Organization has once again extended its application deadline for its 2023 pageant edition.

In a Facebook post, the Miss Universe Philippines Organization announced that the February 5 deadline has been moved to  February 14.

“The journey to the crown has only just begun and is still within your reach,” the organization said.

The physical screening is scheduled on February 13 and 14, while the final selection of candidates will  be on February 15, it said.

Interested applicants can download the online form and submit the application along with other required documents via the organization’s official email addess: [email protected].

Who can apply?

The Miss Universe Organization has yet to reveal the details of the 2023 pageant, but women aged 18 to 27 may apply for the competition.

There is also no height requirement for the national pageant, and married women and women who have borne children can join the pageant, according to the organization.

Miss Universe 2022

The winner of the 2023 edition will follow the reign of Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi, who ended the 12-year streak of the country in the Miss Universe pageant after she failed to enter the semi-finals.

“Ginalaw na ang baso”

Most pageant fans use the phrase “ginalaw na ang baso” to indicate that a frontrunner is showing interest in joining the pageant again.

Pageant fans are eyeing the return of Miss International finalist Ahtisa Manalo to the universe stage along with Miss Universe Philippines 2022 placers Michelle Dee and Pauline Amelinckx.

They are yet to confirm their participation in the 2023 edition, but some cryptic posts have circulated online after Michelle Dee posted a photo with the caption #DeepaTapos.
