Lee Min-ho gears up for new film

by Joanna Deala

SOUTH Korean actor Lee Min-ho is set to return to the big screen.

In a press conference on Sunday in Pasay City, the 36-year-old superstar revealed that he has been preparing for a new film.

Lee returned to the Philippines to grace the 65th anniversary celebration of SMDC, a brand that he endorses. His last visit to Manila was in 2016.

The “Boys Over Flowers” star said that part of his preparations for the forthcoming project is to work out, but he added that he does not have a specific routine that he follows consistently.

“Especially whenever we would do new projects, there were a lot of times when my personal schedule and my routine for my work would clash,” Lee said through a translator.

“That’s why whenever I have the time [or] the opportunity, if I would love to go biking, I would go biking. If I would go to do something else, I would do something else. I think I’m mostly on the spot,” he continued.

Further details about the film, such as its release date, are yet to be revealed.

The actor also announced that the second season of the television series “Pachinko” will be released in 2024. He will also star in another Korean drama, he said.

“We’ve spent so much time [and] our best for us to create this wonderful project, so I hope everyone can be excited for this too,” the actor shared.

“Pachinko” is a TV adaptation of Korean-American author and journalist Min Jin Lee’s novel of the same name, which centers on a Korean woman who moves to Japan.

Lee portrayed the character of a fish broker named Hansu.

“Pachinko” was confirmed to be renewed for a second season in April 2022.
