GILAS Pilipinas constant Dwight Ramos was featured in the Philippine spot of the NBA’s “Everyone’s Game” tip-off campaign, as the new game season kicked off yesterday.
Ramos appeared with NBA stars who were shown rigorously practicing for their upcoming games, in the version intended for Filipino viewers.
NBA MVP Joel Embiid, four-time NBA All-Star Jayson Tatum, and reigning NBA champs Jamal Murray and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope all appeared in the “Everyone’s Game” commercial. Bradley Beal, De’Aaron Fox, and Zach LaVine also made appearances.
Ramos was caught on cam saying, “I’m game,” in response to Murray’s question, “Are you ready?”
Another Ramos video was shared on the NBA Philippines’ Facebook page. The Gilas athlete appeared on “Season Predictions with Dwight Ramos,” where he predicted that the Los Angeles Lakers would win the championship and named Luka Doncic the season’s Most Valuable athlete.
Ramos, who is in Japan with his B.League team Levanga Hokkaido, represented the Philippines in the recently concluded 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, which was held in the country.
During the FIBA World Cup, the Filipino-American wingman averaged 13.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 16 steals in five games for Gilas.
The new NBA season began on Wednesday with reigning champion Denver Nuggets defeating the Los Angeles Lakers, 119-107, and the Phoenix Suns winning over the Golden State Warriors, 108-104.
