SCHOOLS will accept late enrollees until the end of the month, an official of the Department of Education (DepEd) said Wednesday. 

This will help DepEd reach the target of 28.8 million learners for School Year 2023-2024, which began on August 29.

”We are on course,” DepEd Assistant Secretary Francis Bringas told reporters. 

As of September 6, the DepEd tallied 25,890,617 enrollees in public schools, private schools, state universities and colleges (SUCs), and local universities and colleges (LUCs).

Calabarzon registered the highest number of enrollees so far with 3,821,034, followed by Central Luzon with 2,817,827, and the National Capital Region with 2,675,386.
