Kpop’s Stray Kids wows fans in back-to-back Manila show

SOUTH Korean boyband Stray Kids once again proved that it is one of the best fourth generation KPop groups after giving fans the best nights of their lives during its back-to-back show in Manila.

Stray Kids held its concert in the country during the Manila leg of its Maniac World Tour on March 11 and 12 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

This marks the second visit of the all-male group to the Philippines after its Unveil Tour in April 2019.

Extraordinary performance

During the two-day concert, Stray Kids gave Filipino fans, also called STAYs, an extraordinary concert experience as the eight members serenaded them with its well-loved songs.

These are Maniac, Venom, District 9, Back door, Thunderous, Rock, and Case143 to list a few.

But they did not stop there. 

Some members also performed alone on stage, with Bang Chan crooning Yeng Constantino’s Tagalog hit Ikaw.

The other members who had solo performances were Hyunjin who sang Ice Cream, Changbin who sang Mirror Mirror, and I.N. with his Hug Me song number

Tears of joy 

Seeing the group live for the first time, Filipino STAY Chelsea Reyes couldn’t help but feel emotional. Reyes said she had the best night of her life because the music of Stray Kids helped her get through difficult times in her life.

“Hindi ko mapigilang umiyak during their performance kasi this group really helped me nung mga time na nagsstruggle ako academically,” she told republicasia.

And seeing them live, I could say na this is definitely one of the best nights of my life.”

Meanwhile, another STAY, Alyssa Luciano, said that she could see that the group exerted a good amount of effort for its performance. 

This is my first time attending a concert. And Stray Kids literally set the standards high. From their performance, stage presence, live vocals, sobrang galing.”

“Nakakaiyak kasi dati sa screen ko lang sila nakikita, pero ngayon, nalaman ko na totoo talaga sila and talagang they perform way too good,” she added.

Filo STAYs greet Hyunjin a happy bday

Since Stray Kids member Hyunjin will be celebrating his 22nd birthday on March 20, Filipino STAYs surprised the group’s main dancer and lead rapper by singing him a happy birthday song during the second night of the concert.

Hyunjin can be seen grooving and smiling as the fans greeted him in advance for his special day.

Overwhelmed by the support, Hyunjin even asked Filipino STAYs if he could take them to South Korea, making the ocean of fans roar in delight.

Stray Kids Maniac tour

The group posted several photos on their social media accounts to show its gratitude towards the Filipino STAYs who attended the two-night show.

In one of the posts, members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. thanked fans for the energy and love they received during the concert.

“Manila, you’ve filled us with so much energy and happiness. Thank you Manila STAY,” the group wrote in a tweet.
