HIP-HOP and R&B artist Jade Ivy is back on the music scene with his newest single Jelly, which was born from something he has fantasized about.
Not surprisingly, it has something to do with his dream woman.
“Jelly is something that I came up with out of a fantasy and I just wanted to describe a specific girl,” Jade Ivy told reporters.
The title Jelly was, in fact, inspired by the peach emoji depicting a woman’s plump behind, he said.
He said Jelly was crafted to describe an artist’s imaginative view of a “dream girl fantasy” with “freaky, bouncy, sexy, and clingy” features.

As for the song’s music video, it was inspired by “Taste” by American rapper and artists Tyga and Offset.
The track is a combination of hip-hop and RnB, and seeks to protect “sexy” and “fierce” vibes.
Since his last release 3 AM, Jade continues to produce fresh music that he hopes would provide a smashing narrative to express his vivid imagination.

Jade Ivy’s songwriting seeks to project a rough and assertive vibe. It could be heard in his previous releases which include “Puyat” and “With Benefits.”
But with his comeback, he hopes to show more of what he has to offer as well as his “new vibe.”
He wants to make sure he goes beyond being just a party guy, he said.

“The style that I used in the track Jelly was different because I mixed English and Tagalog language to tell the story, wherein more people can vibe to and mas pinalawak ko ang sakop ng taong makakapag vibe ng song,” he shared.
