The band is currently with Nathan Azarcon on bass, the original Mark Escueta on drums and vocals, and Mike Elgar on lead guitar. Meanwhile, Aiman Borres serves as the band’s touring member, focusing on keyboard.

Rivermaya was formed in 1994 by OPM legends Jesse Gonzales on vocals, Kenneth Ilagan on guitars, Nathan Azarcon on bass, Rome Velayo on drums, and Rico Blanco on keyboards.

Perfecto “Perf” de Castro and Bamboo Mañalac also entered the band as replacements of Ilagan and Gonzales, respectively. However, the two musicians also left Rivermaya to form their own bands.

Rivermaya has been one of the most influential bands in the country, particularly during the ‘90s. The group is among the top thirty best-selling artists in Philippine music history.

Meanwhile, fans couldn’t contain their excitement for the upcoming reunion show.

Rivermaya’s discography helped them become one of the best-selling bands in the Philippines. Among their popular songs are “Ulan”,  “214”, “Himala”, “Kisapmata”, and “Awit ng Kabataan.”

With that in mind, seeing Rivermaya perform again would be a memorable experience for its ardent fans.
