IG-worthy holiday spots you can visit around Metro

by Joanna Deala

CHRISTMAS vibes have already been felt in the Philippines as soon as the Ber months kicked off.

Filipinos have started seeing shoppers buying their early Christmas presents as many stores go on sale, hearing Christmas songs everywhere, and seeing Christmas decorations being assembled and put up at home and in public spaces.

But it’s not only our homes and surroundings that can have a new look. Some of us have new pegs as well for their Instagram feeds every month.

To match the joyous vibe that December brings, republicasia collated several Instagrammable Christmas-themed spots around the metro that you can visit with your loved ones:

Have you ever wondered what it feels like to enter a magical world? Perhaps, this holiday attraction in Taguig City might satisfy your curiosity.

The local government unit of Taguig City recently opened its “Christmas by the Lake’ attraction located at the Lakeshore area along Laguna Lake Highway in Barangay Lower Bicutan.

The picturesque six-hectare park features a huge Christmas tree adorned by thousands of lights, a giant coloring floor where visitors can engage in, a heart tower that they can explore, a shining replica of the historic Santa Ana Church, a dancing light tunnel, prism trees, and huge lighted eggs.

One that will definitely catch your attention, specifically if you are an art enthusiast, is the graffiti tunnel. This attraction features murals created by local artists using fluorescent materials.

If you get tired from exploring the lights park, you can take a rest and eat at the food kiosks along Laguna Lake.

Furbabies are allowed in the premises but only the small breed dogs and cats. They must have an updated anti-rabies vaccine, a leash, and a diaper before they can enter the park.

“Christmas by the Lake” is open to the public until January 14, 2024.
