IN HALSEY’S new song and Instagram post, the American singer and songwriter revealed that they are battling a critical health condition.
“Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive,” said Halsey. The 29-year-old singer opened up about experiencing health issues privately in the last few years.
The singer also shared a new song “The End” from their upcoming fifth studio album. “Short story long, I wrote an album. It begins with the End,” they added.
Although Halsey did not disclose their exact diagnosis, they tagged the Lupus Research Alliance and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in their caption.
“Seriously, I feel like an old lady,” said Halsey in their video about how these illnesses make her feel.
Halsey’s medication is also seen in the first clip of the post. “I told myself I’m giving myself two more years to be sick. At 30, I’m having a rebirth and I’m not gonna be sick and I’m gonna look super hot and have lots of energy and I’m just gonna get to re-do my 20s in my 30s,” they added.
The post was a collection of photos and videos of their journey in dealing with their health condition such as, taking their day 1 treatment, a screenshot of notes about the health condition which they sent to their friends back in 2022, and a photo of her inside a recording studio.
“It means a lot to me, and I love it. Let’s try something different this time and start at ‘The End,’” the singer told fans before the release of their upcoming fifth studio album.
The “Without Me” hitmaker has also done multiple song collaborations with sensational artists such as “Closer” with The Chainsmokers, “Eastside” with Khalid, and “Boy With Luv” with BTS.
