The 21st birthday of former Goin’ Bulilit star Bugoy Carino became more memorable as he proposed to his former UAAP player girlfriend Enna Jie “EJ” Laure during his birthday celebration in Quezon City.
On his Instagram stories, Carino re-uploaded his friend’s posts, thus publicizing their engagement.
The stories were randomly reposted; some showed his friends greeting him a happy birthday while he’s on stage, while others showed fellow Hashtag members Zeus Collins and Tom Doromal dancing with him on stage.

But one Instagram story surprised netizens, as it showed Carino announcing his love for his girlfriend and saying he wanted to marry her.
“Itong babaeng ‘to, papakasalan ko, itong babaeng ‘to mamahalin ko hanggang dulo, kaya maraming salamat sa pagpunta nyo,” the former child actor said.
His family and friends’ were heard cheering in the background.
He then asked Laure, “EJ, Enna Jie Cruz Lauren mahal na mahal kita. Will you marry me?”
The birthday guests cheered even louder as they heard the volleyball player answer, “Yes”.
Carino and Laure’s relationship has been a matter of intrigue and controversy on social media as the volleyball player got pregnant at the age 20 while the former Hashtag member was still 15.
In September 2020, when Carino turned 18, the couple revealed in an instagram post that they have a baby named Scarlet.
