Emerging Pinoy artists to take spotlight at The Manila’Bang Show 2023

by Joshua Gerona

A new wave of Filipino contemporary artists is set to take the spotlight at this year’s The Manila’Bang Show.

Dubbed as the biggest art fair in the south, the event will flaunt the breathtaking artworks of up-and-coming artists all over the country as it continues its legacy of championing arts in diverse and innovative forms.

The event will shed light on 50 young and promising local artists including Raco Ruiz, Kapitan, Bitto, and Nicole Asares among many others under the ‘New Wave’ category.

Prominent names in the art scene such as Orley Ypon, Charli Co, Julius Redillas, Shireen Co, and Daniel Dela Cruz will also be featured.

‘New Wave’ aims to empower young artists to lead this generation to a better and stronger contemporary art scene in the country.

This year’s theme, Everything is Contemporary, represents the expedition of art from where it was to where it is now to express how it is not confined to one single form.

The Manila’Bang Show 2023 is led and organized by Contemporary Artfairs ManilaPH.

The art fair opens to the public on December 7 to 10, 2023, at Festival Mall Alabang.
