BTS’ Suga starts military service on Friday

SUGA of BTS is set to begin his mandatory military training on Sept. 22. 

On Sunday, BIGHIT MUSIC hd posted a statement on WeVerse regarding SUGA partaking military service. 

In its post, BIGHIT MUSIC said “there will not be any official events taking place on the day he starts his service or on the day he enters the training camp.” 

BIGHIT MUSIC also asked fans to refrain from visiting SUGA at his workplace during the period of his service. 

“Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only,” it added.  

The eldest BTS member Jin, was the first to enlist for military service in December last year, and he was followed by J-Hope who was enlisted last April. 

BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, consists of seven members: Jungkook, V, Jimin, SUGA, RM, Jin, and J-hope. The boyband was first formed in 2010 and had its debut in 2013. 

The group is set to come together again in 2025.
