WHEN Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Jeremy Jauncey announced their engagement in 2022, no one expected that they would tie the knot secretly in an intimate but splendid beach wedding.

Now that they’ve made it public, we couldn’t get enough of it! 

Fans of the two, apart from being shocked, are intrigued about the details of their wedding, which the beauty queen made public through an Instagram reel she posted on Friday, May 5. 

Here’s what we know about the Jauncey-Wurtzbach nuptials, so far. 

The Filipina-German beauty may have posted their wedding reel on May 5, but the couple actually got married on March 24. Her post was captioned “Mr & Mrs Jauncety. 24.03.202.” 

She also changed her Instagram name to Pia Wurtzbach Jauncey. 

She says Seychelles 

The beach wedding happened in the dreamy, picturesque private North Island in the Seychelles.

In another post, the actress uploaded yet another reel that showed more of their island  wedding. 

For her pre-wedding preps, Wurtbach wore a silk robe over white lace lingerie. 

Fit for a queen

For the main event, the Philippines’ third Miss Universe was a total stunner in her strapless mermaid gown.  

The lace bodice had minimal floral designs.

The dress also featured a thigh-high slit, making its light and airy design perfect for a beach wedding. 

Pia walked barefoot in the sand, wore her hair down, and carried a huge bouquet of flowers as she met her groom. 

Jeremy, meanwhile, paid homage to his Scottish heritage by wearing a kilt, a traditional garb for men in Scotland. 

He teared up when his bride came up to him.

Befitting the beach wedding, the couple’s wedding bands that glistened in the sunlight were placed in a seashell. 

The two could not take their eyes off each other as they became husband and wife. It is not sure yet how many were invited to the wedding, but the video Pia shared made it appear to be a very intimate one. 

Who said weddings need huge, elaborate cakes? Mr. and Mrs. Jauncey sure didn’t. They had a simple white cake with a “Mr. and Mrs.” and figures of a bride and groom as topper.  

The two are proof that marrying the one you love is happiness like no other. 

The newly-wedded couple ended the day sitting on a hammock by the beach while gazing at the sunset. 

Well-wishers 

Pia and Jeremy have yet to disclose anything further about their wedding, but friends and fans expressed their happiness for the lovely couple. 

Among the famous personalities who shared their well wishes for the two were Pia’s fellow queens Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.  

Showbiz friends such as Anne Curtis, Ina Raymundo, Arci Muñoz, Pauleen Luna and Doug Kramer also congratulated the newlyweds. The groom has been actively answering the messages of their supporters in the comments.
