PAGASA: Bring an umbrella for rains

YOU read the title right. Bring an umbrella for possible rains.

This was the advice of the state weather bureau as easterlies and the frontal system is expected to bring thunderstorms and rain showers in various parts of the country today.

According to PAGASA, the areas of Batanes and Cagayan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the frontal system.

PAGASA even said that flash floods or landslides are possible.

Meanwhile, in Manila and the rest of the country, it is expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

The coastal water conditions will have the Extreme Northern Luzon experiencing moderate to rough coastal waters.

It will be recalled that Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. had directed the Task Force El Nino to make preparations preparations for the possible onset of the La Niña phenomenon in June.

PAGASA said earlier that the country is now experiencing a “weak El Nino and that it may end in June.

La Niña on the other hand, may be experienced during June-July-August season.
