SB19’s ‘Pagtatag!’ tour is coming to Asia

A’TIN continues to receive presents from P-pop powerhouse SB19.

Following the news about their upcoming collaboration with K-pop star Sandara Park, the phenomenal quintet announced that they are set to bring their Pagtatag! world tour to Asia.

Members Pablo, Ken, Josh, Stell, and Justin delivered the good news during the Watsons Playlist Concert at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Monday.

SB19 performed at the event along with Filipino indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben and 21-year-old singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo.

In a video shared by netizen @MatValdeavilla, Josh first teased their fans, known as A’TIN, with an “exciting news” that they will release on October 1 on SB19’s social media accounts.

But it seemed that Stell did not want to leave A’TIN hanging.

“Nakakainis naman ‘tong si Josh, pabitin ka,” the group’s main vocalist said.

‘’Ganito na lang, magsasabi na ako ng isa. Kasi hindi na ako makapagpigil eh, syempre nandito yung A’TIN, namiss nila tayo, dapat meron tayong sasabihin na something for them,” he added.

Stell then revealed that their Pagtatag! world tour will soon have an Asian leg, earning loud cheers from A’TIN.

“Yung mga nirerequest niyong countries na puwede namin i-visit dahil alam natin yung ‘Gento’ is nakikilala na siya sa iba’t ibang parte ng mundo. Yung mga bansang yun, pupuntahan po namin para sa inyo,” he announced.

Gento is part of SB19’s second extended play (EP) titled Pagtatag!, along with I Want You, Crimzone, Ilaw, Liham, and Freedom.

Released in May 2023, the song immediately generated buzz both locally and internationally, with many K-pop idols jumping on the Gento dance challenge on TikTok.

South Korean stars who visited the country also danced to Gento during their concerts or fan meetings. Park and GOT7 member BamBam were the latest to groove to the hit song live at the latter’s Area 52 world tour held at the Araneta Coliseum.

The group added more locations for their Pagtatag! world tour, as many fans are requesting the members visit their countries.

“Naririnig namin ang ibang A’TIN sa ibang bansa na gusto rin nila kaming makita,” Stell said.

Details about the countries included in the Asian leg and ticket prices are yet to be announced.

Manila performances

The P-pop supergroup returned to the country in September, following a series of successful concerts and television appearances in North America.

Prior to the Watsons Playlist Concert, SB19 joined OPM singer KZ Tandingan at her major concert titled KZ Xperience as a special guest.

The quintet will also be attending the 2023 Asia Artist Awards (AAA), which will feature esteemed rosters of local and Korean idols and stars. The event will be held in December at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
