Miss Universe PH reveals 69 candidates for 2025 pageant, new national director

WHO among these Filipina beauty queens will represent the Philippines in the prestigious Miss Universe pageant?

On Saturday, the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) organization finally introduced a new batch of candidates who will compete in its upcoming 2025 edition.

Among them are several pageant veterans like Yllana Marie Aduana, Chelsea Fernandez, Katrina Llegado, Ahtisa Manalo, and Winwyn Marquez.

Aduana will represent her hometown of Siniloan, Laguna, Fernandez for Sultan Kudarat, Lledgado for Taguig City, Manalo for Quezon Province, and Marquez for Muntinlupa City.

These five beauty queens already represented the Philippines in various international pageants, with Marquez winning the country’s first Reina Hispanoamericana crown in 2017 and Aduana taking home the Miss Earth – Air title in 2023.

Llegado also joined the Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 competition, where she finished fifth runner-up. Fernandez, on the other hand, ended her Miss Globe 2022 journey in the Top 15.

Manalo joined the MUPH 2024 competition and won the Miss Cosmo Philippines 2024 title. She concluded her Miss Cosmo International journey in the Top 10.

Whoever wins among the 69 beauty queens in the MUPH 2025 competition will succeed Miss Universe – Asia Chelsea Manalo and earn her ticket to the prestigious Miss Universe 2025 competition.

The 74th Miss Universe pageant will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on November 21, 2025.

New MUPH national director

Aside from the 69 delegates, the MUPH organization also names its new national director: MUPH 2013 Ariella Arida.

During the press presentation, Arida thanked the organization for entrusting her with the position.

“I know this is a big shoe to fill, but not everyone knows that even from the start, on how Miss Universe Philippines started, I was there looking at them, I still get to talk with them. So, I’m still involved in what’s happening, and I supported them from the very start,” the beauty queen shared.

“Little did I know that after five years, I would be here. Now, I’m part of the team,” she added.

In an Instagram post, Arida said she is “grateful and ready” to be the MUPH’s national director and looks forward to “an exciting journey ahead.”

“I’m committed to making a positive impact and helping every woman shine on her path to success as they chase their dreams. Let’s make this year an incredible one!” she wrote.
