Lee Seung-gi, Do Ji-han to do cameos in Melai’s film ‘Ma’am Chief’

SOUTH Korean actors Lee Seung-gi and Do Ji-han are set to have special appearances in Melai Cantiveros’ forthcoming film “Ma’am Chief.”

PULP Studios confirmed this in the movie poster it released on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.

“Ang ‘FANGIRL PULIS NG BAYAN,’ nandito na! Ready na si Ma’am Chief, Selda Kaptan. G ka na rin ba sa KAMSAMazing movie experience?” it said.

The action-comedy film is the cinematic debut of PULP Studios, a subsidiary of PULP Group Inc. It is an original creation by PULP’s COO Happee Sy-Go and will be directed by events host and content creator Kring Kim.

“PULP Studios proudly presents ‘Ma’am Chief,’ an exciting Philippines-Korea production collaboration na puno ng saya, aksyon, kalokohan at maraming oppa,” PULP Studios added.

“Ma’am Chief” centers on a police officer who disguises herself as a tour guide to apprehend a fugitive in South Korea.

Cantiveros will headline the action-comedy flick, where she will be joined by Karylle, Jennica Garcia and Alora Sasam, among others.

Cantiveros and Garcia currently host the game variety show “It’s Your Lucky Day,” which temporarily replaces “It’s Showtime” as it serves its 12-day airing suspension.

More South Korean stars, like Lee Suya and Park Jiyong, will also have a special participation in the film.

Behind-the-scenes

The “Magandang Buhay” host first teased about her forthcoming movie in July, when she posted on Instagram several behind-the-scenes photos from her first day of filming in South Korea.

She shared a clip in another IG post, where she interacted with Korean crew members.

The comedienne-host also made netizens gush over Do when she shared some photos of her with the Korean heartthrob. Do is known for his roles in the 2016 K-drama series “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth” and the 2012 film “The Tower.”

“Guys [may] nakita akong nagjogging [dito] sa set namin kanina @dojihan, very Oppaa and very mabait,” Cantiveros wrote in the caption.

Prior to the movie announcement, Cantiveros spent quality time with her husband Jason Francisco and their two daughters, Mela and Stela, as they toured around South Korea.

“Ma’am Chief” is set to be released on November 15.
