A 20-year-old motorcycle rider was arrested on Tuesday after executing exhibition stunts along the Davao Coastal road on Monday, July 17.
In the viral video circulating online, the man can be seen lying face down on his motorcycle as he traversed the highway.

The Special Operation Team of the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) was able to locate the rider through his plate number that was visible in the videos and photos uploaded on social media.
Upon the identification of the rider, authorities discovered that he does not possess a license to drive. They learned as well that the motorcycle does not belong to him.
The CTTMO also found that the bike’s registration had expired and the rider was not wearing a proper helmet during the incident.

As of writing, the rider has been placed under the custody of the Ecoland Police Station 15, while the motorcycle has been impounded.
Aside from violation of traffic laws, the driver will also be charged with alarm and scandal.
Meanwhile, the CTTMO-Special Operation Team said it would not tolerate motorists performing illegal stunts on the road.
“The CTTMO-Special Operation Team is making an increased effort to track down and put an end to these unlawful stunts,” it wrote in a Facebook post.
