Sarah Geronimo’s comeback song reaches Korea

SHE is definitely back!

After emerging from a two-year hiatus from the limelight, Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo welcomed the new year with a bang.

Since the release of her comeback song “Dati-Dati” last October, it has been on repeat in numerous streaming platforms.

Its official music video came out two months ago, and it has already garnered over a million views on YouTube and more than a million streams on Spotify.

The dance moves from the song have also become a hit online. The #DatiDatiChallenge on TikTok started in the late -ber months of last year and has extended into the new year. It now has more than a hundred thousand entries.

But what really thrilled the Popsters is that one of the famous digital creators in Korea, Nadia Hong, has also created an entry for Sarah G’s “Dati-dati.” It has now reached 1.2 million views, and more than 116,000 interactions.

Of course, local celebrities hopped on the trend as well.

As a year-ender, Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda took the opportunity to dance to the song with Geronimo herself when the latter visited the set of “It’s Showtime.”

Showtime co-host Jackie Gonzaga did not only dance it on stage, she also made sure to have her own TikTok entry for the #DatiDatiDanceChallenge

Actors Vivoree and Joao Constanza also channeled their inner Popsters by joining the dance craze.

Darren Espanto, whom Geronimo coached as one of the contestants on The Voice Kids Season 1, also channeled his inner fanboy by dancing to his mentor’s song.

The Kapuso Korean Dancing Diva, Dasuri Choi, also danced to the trend in her own TikTok account.

Kapuso stars Marian Rivera and Maja Salvador also made sure not to miss the trend.

Kapuso actress Kyline Alcantara is an avid fan of the Popstar Royalty and said it is her favorite song at the moment.

Jessa Zaragosa’s daughter, Jayda joined the trend and used Dati-Dati as her exercise song in America to fight the cold weather.

It can be recalled that Geronimo’s song “Tala” became a global hit and reached over a hundred million views on YouTube.

So, will “Dati-Dati” be the next worldwide trend and surpass her previous hit?
