Honor poured in all over the world over the death of Grammy-award winning singer American singer Tina Turner. Celebrities and fans of the 83-year-old music icon paid homage to the legendary singer.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) shared a photo of innumerable sparkling stars as a way of remembering the Queen of Rock n Roll who passed away last May 25.
“Simply the best. Music legend Tina Turner sparkled across the stage and into millions of hearts as the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Her legacy will forever live among the stars,” NASA said on Instagram.
According to the U.S. government agency, the image is a close up of a cluster of tightly-packed stars as seen through the Hubble Space Telescope.
“The sparkles are reminiscent of Tina Turner’s beaded and sequined dresses she would wear on stage. The center of the cluster has the most stars, where most are blue and white. Red and orange stars are found farther from the center,” said NASA.
Fans thanked Nasa for the post that is heart-warming and heart-crushing all at once.
Turner, born Anna Mae Bullock, was a pioneering rock and roll star who became a pop legend in the ‘80s.
According to reports, her health deteriorated in the past years after being diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 2016 and a kidney transplant in 2017.
Turner is also known to have paved the way for black women to penetrate the international music scene.
She popularized the generational hits Private Dancer, I Don’t Want To Fight, Two People, Let’s Stay Together and many others.
