The administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has unveiled the ”Bagong Pilipinas” brand of governance that is focused on achieving its target of ”economic and social transformation.”
Bagong Pilipinas, according to Memorandum Circular No. 24 issued by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on July 3, ”calls for deep and fundamental transformations in all sectors of society and government and fosters the State’s commitment towards the attainment of comprehensive policy reforms and full economic recovery.”
”Towards attaining a promising future for the nation, this administration commits to [embodying] a brand of governance that is focused on implementing an all-inclusive plan for economic and social transformation,” the circular stated.
Malacañang ordered all national government agencies and instrumentalities, including government-owned or controlled corporations (GOCCs) and state universities and colleges (SUCs), to align their programs, activities, and projects with the Bagong Pilipinas brand.
They were also tasked with adopting the Bagong Pilipinas logo, which features the colors of the Philippine flag, in their letterheads, websites, official social media accounts, and other documents and instruments pertaining to flagship programs of the government.
