SHOWBIZ and sports make one of the most powerful marriage combinations. Through the years, fans have seen celebrities and athletes romantically being linked together and eventually marrying each other. 

Even if both industries have huge fan bases, the combination of stars and sportsmen seem to be a lot less followed than usual showbiz marriages. 

Most of them, too, have showcased successful relationships that inspire so many couples who want to enter family life.

1. Chesca Garcia-Kramer and Doug Kramer

Before getting married, Chesca Garcia was a teen actress who captured everyone’s eyes with her perfect beauty. Doug Kramer, meanwhile, was the typical cute college ball cager who fell for the mestiza beauty. 

Having been together since 2003, the two are now married and have three beautiful kids– Kendra, Scarlett and Gavin. Their family has since been collectively known as Team Kramer. 

They, too, are among the most followed on social media both as a family and as individuals. . 

Doug is a retired Phoenix Fuel Masters player. 

2. Danica Sotto and Marc Pingris

Danica Sotto and Marc Pingris are among the most admired couples on social media. Having been married for 15 years, the two are enjoying a thriving family life with their three kids. 

In an interview, Danica’s mom, actress Dina Bonnevie, praised Marc for being so sweet to her daughter even up to this day. 

Pingris is now retired from basketball but he is best known for being a standout of national team Gilas Pilipinas. 

3. LJ Moreno and Jimmy Alapag

The heart of a former Gilas legend was captured yet again by another celebrity. Team captain Jimmy Alapag and wife LJ Moreno welcomed their fourth child just this year. 

The two have been married since 2010 and are currently based in the US. 

4. Kyla and Rich Alvarez

Singer Kyla was the belle who captured the heart of former Kia Sorentos player Rich Alvarez. They are now enjoying more than a decade of blissful marriage. They have a son named Toby. 

Their marriage, however, endured its fair share of challenges when Kyla suffered four miscarriages. 

5. Bianca Gonzales and JC Intal

TV host Bianca Gonzales and basketball player JC Intal have been married for eight years and have welcomed two kids, Lucia and Carmen. 

JC is known for playing for the Phoenix Fuel Masters. 

6. David Semerad and Gwen Zamora

Former “Bubble Gang” beauty Gwen Zamora found her forever in TNT Katropa David Semerad. 

The two got  married twice, in a civil union in France in 2021 and in a Batangas wedding in December of last year. 

Together, they have a three-year-old son named Cooper.
