Localized thunderstorms to bring rains over parts of the country

Localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rain showers over parts of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.

On the other hand, the northeast monsoon will bring some light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

But the state weather bureau said there’s no low pressure area on the horizon to ruin anybody’s plans today.

Luzon weather

Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan.

Flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms. 

In Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, there will just be light rains or drizzles. 

Visayas and Mindanao

Visayas and Mindanao will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies.

There will be localized thunderstorms and these could bring moderate to heavy rains.

Severe thunderstorms may cause flash floods or landslides, and caution is advised, said PAGASA.

Sunday forecast for key cities

Metro Manila, Baguio City, and Legazpi City will have light rains on Sunday due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Cebu and Metro Davao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

Heading out to sea?

The weather bureau said no gale warning is up in any part of the country today, which means fisherfolk and small sea craft may head out to sea today.

But it still advised caution as the sea conditions will be moderate to rough.

Visayas forecast

Mindanao forecast

Ang tibuok dapit sa Mindanao makasinati sa panalagsang pagdag-um ngsadto na sa mapanganuron nga kalangitan inubanan sa pat-ak pat-ak nga pag ulan, kilat ug panalugdog tungod sa Localized Thunderstorms. Hinay ngadto sa kasarangan nga hangin ang maga gikan sa amihanang silangan ngadto na sa amihanang direksyon ug ang kadagatan hapsay ngadto sa kasarangan ang pagbalud (0.6 to 2.5 meters).
