Julia Barretto calls Gerald Anderson ‘partner in life’ in sweet birthday message

ACTRESS Julia Barretto kept her message to boyfriend Gerald Anderson short but very sweet for his 34th birthday. 

On Instagram, the actress posted a photo of them twinning in gray coats in Paris as they posed before the Eiffel Towel. 

She wrote, “Happy birthday my love. My best friend and partner in life. I thank God for you everyday.” 

Anderson turned 34 this year and the two celebrated his birthday in the City of Love.

Barretto’s mother Marjorie also commented on her daughter’s post and reminded Anderson that their family loves him as she greeted him on his birthday.  

“Happy birthday, Ge!!! Have a great year ahead, we love you,” Marjorie wrote.  

Gerald on Julia being “the one” 

It has been over two years since Anderson made the revelation that he and the actress are officially together. 

In an interview, Anderson referred to Barretto as “the one.” He also said he hoped that Bea Alonzo, his last girlfriend before he got together with Barretto, would eventually learn to forgive him. 

Barretto also did not hold back in confirming in interviews that she will readily say “yes” should Anderson ask for her hand in marriage. 

Controversies 

Until today, Anderson’s love triangle with Barretto and Alonzo, and the whole ghosting and alleged cheating saga that went with it, has never left people’s minds. 

Almost four years since their break-up, Alonzo is still asked from time to time about her ex.

In her recent interview with King of Talk Boy Abunda, she stood firm that Anderson’s biggest lie was when he repeatedly said in the past that he never ghosted her, “because he did.” 

Barretto also denied ever having been a third party to Alonzo and Anderson’s relationship, although netizens continue to criticize her today for her supposed involvement in their break up. 

Alonzo is now in a relationship with actor Dominic Roque.
