WHAT do festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza have in common? They’re not just about music, they’re also an opportunity for fashionistas to strut their stuff.
From Vanessa Hudgens to James Charles to Kylie Jenner, the fashion forward do their best to flaunt the fact that they’ve got style. Of course, Filipinos don’t disappoint– that much could be seen from the outfits at the UP Fair.
Though there was an abundance of flannel and Uniqlo polos as far as the eye could see, there were also a handful of people that caught our eye because of their unique style.
Upon talking to them, we came to realize something: no matter what you’re wearing–be it a shirt worth a thousand pesos, shoes you got at the thrift store for a hard bargain, or accessories given to you for free–style is something that comes from your creativity.
We asked some people that stood out to us how they got the inspiration for their fits and just how much they spent to look that good.

Actually ang binili ko lang talaga for this event is yung top, ‘tas everything else is binagay ko lang dun sa top. Yung top is binili ko lang last week of January, so I planned it around two weeks in advance for this event.

Na-put together ko lang siya nung binili ko siya. So feeling ko since it’s been long since the last UP Fair, naisip ko isuot siya today.

Actually, I just came up with this kasi Chinese New Year, diba? And then I just found this online. Thrift, ganun.

Nag-roulette lang na white or black, tapos white. So white yung pinili kong clothes ngayon. Pero thineme ko siya around… alam niyo ba yung Neon Genesis Evangelion? I themed it around Asuka’s clothes. So yung dress, and yung choker, and the hair.
