Time to take a second look at the Chinese Filipinos among us, especially the celebrities who have made an  impact in today’s generation.

Heart Evangelista

The Philippine’s latest fashion icon Heart Evangelista is among the Fil-Chi celebrities. Her mother is an Ongpauco, the family that owns a pioneering chain of restaurants, the Barrio Fiesta.

Kim Chiu

Princess Chinita is proud of her Chinese roots ever since she started her career in the first season of Pinoy Big Brother teen edition.

She popularized the song “Peng You” which means “friend” in English, during her stay at the PBB house.

Xian Lim

His real name is Alexander Xian Cruz Lim-Uy.

Obviously, both his parents have Chinese lineage.

He buys Chinese lucky charms every Chinese New Year.

Ken Chan

His eyes can’t deny his Chinese descent. He revealed in an interview with Power House that his family is Buddhist.

David Licauco

Fidel from the now-popular GMA TV series Maria Clara at Ibarra is a pure Chinese who graduated from Grace Christian College and lives in a Chinese community village in Metro Manila.

Before venturing to his acting career, he joined the Mr. and Ms. Chinatown 2014 and finished as the first runner-up.

Kryz Uy

The lifestyle and fashion blogger Kryz Uy came from a typically strict Chinese-Filipino family set-up. She is proud to be Chinese by blood and Filipino by heart.

Richard Yap

Unforgettable as “Papa Chen”  or “Sir Chief” from the ABS-CBN TV series “Please be Careful with my Heart” which ran from 2012 to 2014. Richard Yap is an actor, model and a businessman of Chinese descent. 

Although he is now a public personality, he keeps mostly everything private about his personal life.
