DJ Loonyo on ghosting women: ‘Yes of course, meron, but I have changed’

DANCER and now singer Rhemuel Lunio or DJ Loonyo did not shy away from admitting that just like other men, he too has left women or abandoned relationships without saying goodbye or at least a clear reason why.

“Yes of course, meron meron,” he said in an interview with republicasia on Wednesday at the media conference of his upcoming take-off concert “Loonyoverse.”

“Siguro hindi ko na binalikan kasi that time medyo bata pa, teenager pa. So once na ‘di siya pasok dun sa nararamdaman ko na vibes sa girl, nago-ghost ko, hindi ko na nababalikan kasi hindi ko kaya sabihin na pasensya ka na, sorry ah,” he added.

Loonyo said he hoped that the girls he left would eventually understand his decision. But he, too, sure knew that dumping someone for unclear reasons is and will never be right, he said.

“Dun ako parang nahihiya so ginoshost ko na lang, iniisip ko na lang sana maintindihan niya, yun na yung meaning n’un. But I know it’s bad, so dapat instead of ghosting sabihin mo na lang,” he said.

Yes, I said sorry

Perhaps it’s the kick of maturity. DJ Loonyo said that years later he was able to say sorry to the women whom he left without a word.

“Oo, yes yes, karamihan kasi ng mga ganyan is tropa na ngayon eh naging kaibigan ko na so hindi na siya big deal pag usapan, pinagtatawanan na lang namin,” he said.

Happy and in love

Branded with a tainted image, he has been a constant target of bashing on social media, especially if it concerns his personal life. He has been called  all sorts of names relating to being a “playboy,” “womanizer” and everything else in between.

Armed with determination, DJ Loonyo tried to be the best version of himself, hence his obvious transformation. He then went on a journey to fix every aspect of his life.

Now, he is happily in a relationship with his choreographer girlfriend Faye Protacio who is also part of his group A63.

“Nung na meet ko si Faye, I was ready to enter into a relationship,” he said.

“Matagal-tagal na rin akong hindi pa nagka relasyon that time, bago ko siya niligawan talagang minake sure ko na, kasi maraming bash na nangyari sakin eh about being a playboy, nambababae parati,” he said.

“This time sabi ko I’m gonna do the right thing and sinigurado ko muna na sigurado ako sa kanya. Wala po kaming problema, mag 3 years na po kami. She’s doing great, she’s happy, I’m so happy sa relationship namin,” he ended.
