IT just keeps getting hotter.
Dagupan City, which was baked on Friday with a 48 degrees celsius temperature, will once again be put in a figurative and literal burner anew.

For the second straight day, the city will sizzle anew as PAGASA forecasted that the heat index will again be 48 degrees Celsius.
That is on top of the city experiencing 47-degrees celsius for three straight days.
The “Hot List”
Next on the so-called “hot list” is Aparri, Cagayan which is forecast at 46 degrees Celsius today.
At least five areas will have a 45-degree Celsius heat index this Saturday.

Among them include Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Bacnotan, La Union, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, CBSUA-Pili, Camarines Sur, and Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
Meanwhile, six areas will have a 44-degree Celsius heat index and they are: Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Cubi Pt. In Subic Bay, Olongapo City, Sangley Point in Cavite, Aborlan in Palawan, Virac (Synop) in Catanduanes, and Roxas City in Capiz.

In Metro Manila, it is again a usual scorcher with a heat index of 43 degrees Celsius.
Also experiencing 43 degrees Celsius heat index are: MMSU, Batac, Ilocos Norte; ISU Echague, Isabela; Iba, Zambales; Clark Airport (DMIA), Pampanga; Baler (Radar), Aurora;
Casiguran, Aurora; Coron, Palawan; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro;
Legazpi City, Albay; Iloilo City, Iloilo; Dumangas, Iloilo; La Granja, La Carlota, Negros Occidental; Catarman, Northern Samar; Catbalogan, Samar; Tacloban City, Leyte;
Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur; Cotabato City, Maguindanao; and Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.
Going a notch down will be ten areas under 42 degrees Celsius heat index.
They are: Science Garden, Quezon City; NVSU Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya; CLSU Munoz, Nueva Ecija; Tayabas City, Quezon; Ambulong, Tanauan Batangas; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Daet, Camarines Norte; Masbate City, Masbate; Juban, Sorsogon; Mambusao, Capiz
Maasin, Southern Leyte; and Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte
Hotter days ahead
PAGASA climatologist Dr. John Manalo had said that there is a possibility that the heat idex will continue to rise next month.
“Low-lying areas like Tuguegarao, Dagupan, Aparri and some parts of Eastern Samar and Mindanao experience a higher heat index. Aside from low elevation, their distance to the coast, rivers and other bodies of water is also a factor,” he said.
