CIMB says fund reversal over  ‘unauthorized fund transfers’ underway

THE digital-only commercial bank CIMB announced Sunday evening that they had initiated the reversal of funds for their customers that were affected by the sudden “unauthorized fund transfers.” 

According to the bank, they had alerted their customers to check their accounts.

They also said that they will continue to update them as soon as the reversal is completed.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Rest assured that your security continues to be of utmost importance to us,” the digital bank said.

CIMB Bank Philippines is part of Malaysia’s CIMB Group. 

It is the fifth largest bank in ASEAN by assets.
