THE Filipino teen who got online hate for her excitement over her Charles & Keith “luxury bag” got to tour the fashion company’s Singapore headquarters.
Zoe Gabriel, who lives in Singapore, shared in an Instagram post that the company invited her and her father to visit its headquarters in Tai Seng Link, Singapore.
The company also treated the father-daughter duo to lunch.
Gabriel thanked the brand for giving them the opportunity to visit and learn more about the operations of Charles & Keith.
“We had such an amazing opportunity to visit @charleskeithofficial ‘s headquarters, and learn more about the behind-the-scenes!” Gabriel wrote in the caption. “It was so fun, everybody was so nice and accommodating.”
Charles & Keith was founded in 1996. In 2011, luxury group Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) acquired a 20 percent stake in the company, making it part of a group that includes other top fashion labels.
The founders of Charles & Keith have since bought back their shares from LVMH, according to reports.
During her visit to the company, Gabriel was seen wearing platform sandals from Charles & Keith. She also toted her viral Charles & Keith “luxury bag.”
In response to Gabriel’s post, the fashion brand’s official Instagram account thanked the teenager for the visit.
“Thanks for visiting! We were happy to have you and your dad at our HQ office – hope you enjoyed the lunch and had a meaningful experience with us,” it commented.
The 17-year-old teenager recently gained attention for her TikTok video where she shared her excitement over acquiring a Charles & Keith product, which she called her “first luxury bag.”
It was a gift from her father.

Some netizens slammed her statement, saying the company’s products were not considered luxury items.
Gabriel responded with another TikTok video elaborating on her humble beginnings and expressing her dismay for getting hate over a bag she was “excited to have.”
Gabriel has been receiving a lot of supportive messages since her video went viral.
Netizens have pointed out that luxury is subjective and that people shouldn’t hate on people for expressing joy over something that makes them happy.
