Catch more ‘One Piece,’ ‘Record of Ragnarok’ episodes plus 6 more anime on Netflix this July

GEAR up, One Piece fanatics! Luffy and the gang are back with more seasons as the well-loved shonen anime series returns via the popular paid video streaming site Netflix starting July 15.

The streaming service is yet to announce which seasons will be included in the new release, but it is likely that it will follow the chronological order of the series. 

With this, Season 7 Escape! The Marine Fortress & The Foxy Pirate Crew will possibly follow the last available season on Netflix, which is the Sky Island: The Golden Bell series with 22 episodes.

Currently, fans can only watch 195 out of the 1,053 and counting episodes of the longest-running anime series on Netflix. 

Aside from One Piece, the streaming platform also announced the arrival of more episodes for the second half of Record of Ragnarok’s second season, which will start airing on Wednesday, July 12.

Five more episodes are said to be included in the second season’s Part 2, featuring more intense one-on-one battles between the gods and humans, for the sake of humankind’s survival.

More anime series

Apart from these fan favorites, Netflix will also be adding new anime on the platform, with genres ranging from the sappy high school romance drama to dark fantasy isekai titles.

Skip and Loafer

Released on April 4, Skip and Loafer is a feel-good romance drama that narrates the story of a  child prodigy from the countryside named Mitsumi Iwakura as she moves to Tokyo for high school. 

With little understanding of social norms of the big city, she meets several unique people with whom she would later share a special bond. She would also find herself falling in love with her classmate, Sousuke Shima.

Skip and Loafer will be available on Netflix starting Saturday, July 15.

The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague

Also coming to Netflix on Saturday, The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague is a fantasy and romantic comedy series that circles on the story of a male character named Himuro who happens to be a descendant of the Snow Woman Spirit, allowing him to possess ice magic.

However, he finds it difficult to navigate his daily life as he would sometimes inconvenience other people because of his powers. But his colleague Fuyutsuki, a human descendant, will help him break out of his nerve-induced ice, making him fall in love with her.

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom is an isekai anime that tells the adventures of Kazuya Souma, an aspiring civil servant, after he was transported to another world where he is deemed as a hero.

Kazuya is tasked with aiding the Elfrieden Kingdom and its allies to put an end to an ongoing war with the demon army. He would later be declared as the nation’s king after helping the kingdom revamp its dying economy.

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom will be out on Netflix on Saturday.

Death Mount Death Play

Also coming to Netflix on Saturday is Death Mount Death Play. It explores the new life of a powerful necromancer known as the Corpse God after being reborn as a young boy named Polka Shinoyama in modern-day Tokyo. 

Along with his allies, Polka is set out to learn the truth behind his reincarnation and the fate that awaits him in this new world.

The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting

According to its short blurb on Netflix, The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting features the story of a yakuza henchman named Tooru Kirishima who is tasked to babysit his boss’s daughter, seven-year-old Yaeka Sakuragi.

Although Tooru is known for his violent tendencies, this did not hinder him from developing a good relationship and understanding with Yaeka.

The anime will come out on Netflix on July 15.

Trigun Stampede

Trigun Stampede is a science fiction and fantasy anime that revolves around the infamous outlaw Vash the Stampede, a passive and carefree drifter who is an advocate of peace and beloved by the people in his town.

While he tries to escape the bounty hunters that are after his head, Vash is forced to battle his malevolent brother’s unstoppable destructive power in order to maintain peace.

Trigun Stampede will be available on Netflix starting July 15.
