This could be your big acting break as QCinema holds open auditions for their short films!
Actors and non-actors of all ages can sign up to audition for a role in this year’s QCinema’s short films.
“For QCinema’s 12th year, we’re holding Open Auditions for this year’s QCShorts. We’re looking for actors, non-actors, and everything in between. Sign up for a slot online and meet us at VPF Creative Communications (PM Building, 24 Matalino St, Diliman, Quezon City) on July 6 and/or July 13!” QCinema wrote on a Facebook post.
In-person auditionees must prepare a 3-minute audition including an introduction. Meanwhile, kids are required to submit a short personal story that exceeds 1-2 minutes in Filipino. They should also be prepared to read a short excerpt from a script.
For young adults, they are required to read a monologue that doesn’t exceed 1-2 minutes, and just like the requirement for kids, they should also be prepared to read an excerpt of the script.
QCinema also advised auditionees to be at the venue 5-10 minutes before the audition.
All auditions that are conducted will be considered by the respective filmmakers of QCShorts 2024. Auditionees will receive an update of their audition status through text or email by late July or early August.
