Korean romance dramas have never failed to make viewers feel butterflies in their stomachs.

They may have seen various love stories, but it seems that they could not get enough of these shows from South Korea.

If you want to discover more of these romance dramas, perhaps you should try to binge-watch these Korean BL or boy’s love series where the main characters have such unique chemistry:

Blueming

Starring: Jo Hyuk Joon and Kang Eun Bin

Cha Si Won knows how people judge others by their looks. In order for him not to be looked down on, he works hard taking care of his appearance and adopts a pleasant personality to gain popularity in college.

But Si Won’s hard work seems to be overshadowed when Hyeong Da Un enters his campus life. Unlike Si Won, Da Un does not have to try hard to become popular as he was born with beauty and brains, and also has a nice personality. Sparks fly when these two keep crossing paths with one another.

To My Star (Season 1)

Starring: Son Woo Hyun and Kim Kang Min

The first season of To My Star tells the story of how Kang Seo Joon, an actor whose career took a big slump, falls for an attractive young chef named Han Ji Woo. These two become a couple, but a compatibility problem arises when they realize how different their life perspectives are from each other.

To My Star (Season 2)

Starring: Son Woo Hyun and Kim Kang Min

Seo Joon and  Ji Woo’s love story thrives in the second season, until one of them suddenly disappears, leaving nothing but a note to the other. The second part of the series answers whether or not there will be a happy ending for the couple.

Semantic Error

Starring: Park Seo Ham and Park Jae Chan

If you are a fan of the enemy to lover trope, this BL series is a must-watch for you. 

Junior computer science student Chu Sang Woo and senior design student Jang Jae Young are always at each other’s throats. The clash between these two individuals started when Sang Woo was tasked with collaborating with other students, whom he’s not familiar with, for a final presentation. But Sang Woo ends up being the only student who works on the project, so he decides to take all the credit and remove his group mates’ names from the presentation. 

This move has a big impact on the academic prospects of Jae Young, who is planning to study overseas. Jae Young plans to torment Sang Woo to get back at him, but their row brings them closer to each other instead.

Light on Me

Starring: Lee Sae On, Kang Yoo Seok, Chae Chan Yi, and Go Woo Jin

High school student Tae Kyung has always believed that he does not need friends, but one day, this perspective changes. Having no idea how he is going to make friends, his teacher advises him to join the school’s student council. There, he meets the council’s cool vice president Shin Woo and dashing president Da On.

Tae Kyung’s journey to find friends gets complicated when sparks begin to fly between him and Da On, which Shin Woo does not approve of. Adding to this mess is Da On’s close female friend, who secretly has romantic feelings for him.

The Eighth Sense

Starring: Im Ji Sub and Oh Jun Taek

Student Ji Hyun leaves his peaceful rural life to study at a university in Seoul, where he meets Jae Won, who has just finished his military service. Thanks to surfing, these two students begin to develop feelings for each other. 

But their connection starts to get blurry when Jae Won acts as if nothing happened after he shared a kiss with Ji Hyun during their surfing trip.

The New Employee

Starring: Kwon Hyuk and Moon Ji Yong

The New Employee is an office romance between Seung Hyun, a virgin in his late twenties who snatched his dream internship, and Kim Jong Chan, his handsome yet cold boss. They begin to work with each other and grow closer. Will they still be able to maintain their superior-subordinate relationship in the office?


Cherry Blossoms After Winter

Starring: Ok Jin Uk and Kang Hui

Cherry Blossoms After Winter is a story that begins in the characters’ childhood. After his parents pass away, Seo Hae Bom takes shelter with a family that has a young son named Jo Tae Seong. Unlike Hae Bom, Tae Seong is tall, handsome, popular, and has a great personality. 

These two different people begin to build a special connection as they spend more time with each other at home and at the school they both attend.

Starring: Ki Hyun Woo, Yang Jun Mo, Jo Chan Hyun, and Park Heyong Seop

What would you do if your childhood first love came back into your life? This is the question that idol-turned-intern Lee Jun has to answer in the story when he crosses paths again with his first love, who disappeared without a word—the genius director Choi Jun.

Our Dating Sim

Starring: Lee Seung Gyu and Lee Jong Hyuk

Destiny once again shows its magic in the love story between Shin Ki Tae and Lee Wan, who have been friends since they were students. The two meet each other again as colleagues who are tasked with creating a dating simulation game.
