About Miss International Queen

The Miss International Queen is an international pageant for transgender women, and it started in 2004.

The pageant was staged in an attempt to make transgender women visible in society amid the increasing homophobia and transphobia surrounding the community.

It is equivalent to the Miss Universe competition, as it is dubbed as the most prestigious beauty pageant for the transgender community.

The pageant is a trademark of Thailand-based Tiffany’s Show Pattaya Co., which is recognized as the “pride” of Pattaya entertainment.

According to the Miss International Queen organization, its objectives are to give transgender women a chance to be more accepted in society and to raise awareness of transgender rights among the wider community.

The competition also aims to foster friendly relationships and intellectual exchange among the members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) community.

Tourism warrior

After winning the competition, the successor is expected to stay in Thailand to be the face of the organization in the various causes it is championing in Pattaya.

These include boosting tourism and performing arts activities held in Thailand.

The prize

The winner of Miss International Queen is awarded a monetary prize of 450,000 Thai baht, which is equivalent to approximately P700,000.

Just like Miss Universe, the winner will stay in an exclusive apartment in Pattaya and will be regularly provided with her own wardrobe for the duration of her reign.
