TikTok dance crazes for Pinoy Christmas parties

by Joyce Remo

WITH Christmas just around the block, Filipinos have been holding parties to celebrate the yuletide with friends, classmates, colleagues, and families.

A typical Filipino Christmas celebration will never be complete without the traditional gift giving, a sumptuous lunch or dinner, party games, raffles, and special dance numbers.

It is undeniable that Filipinos are born with exceptional talents in singing and dancing. That’s why during Christmas parties, these talents are often shown off, complete with electrifying, groovy music and fancy dance outfits.

While the melody and choreography matter when choosing the perfect songs to dance to under the vibrant Christmas lights and decorations, it is also important to select a song that everybody can relate to.

TikTok has been instrumental in popularizing dance crazes, allowing users to learn and participate in various dance challenges for fun. These well-liked songs are the perfect background music for celebrations.

After doing a TikTok recap of the viral dance songs in 2022, republicasia came up with a list of five songs to dance to during Christmas party performances.

Released in November 2021, the R&B song Fever by KPop boy band ENHYPEN gained immense popularity on TikTok due to its charismatic tune. This song is perfect for Filipino KPop stans who want to incorporate cool and angsty Korean songs in their Christmas parties.
