Steve Aoki releases new single, announces tour

TWO-TIME Grammy nominated DJ Steve Aoki released his newest single New York on Friday, a collaboration with multi-platinum DJ and producer Regard, featuring alt-pop artist mazie.

New York is an upbeat dance club jam paired with “dreamlike, twisted musical tendencies” that is bound to become the newest pop anthem to kick-off the new year.

This new song came after the release of Aoki’s recent hit album HiROQUEST: Genesis that was filled with collaborations with prominent music icons. These include Kane Brown, Taking Back Sunday,Georgia Ku, MOD SUN, Bryce Vine, Santa Fe Klan, Lil Xan, and Goody Grace, among others. 

Tour coming up

Aoki also announced an upcoming tour under his HiROQUEST brand that will be held in different locations in the United States.

In demand 

With close to three billion music streams to his name, Aoki has been named by Billboard as “one of the most in-demand entertainers in the world.” 

The music producer, artist, fashion designer, entrepreneur, NFT futurist and Dim Mak Records founder also received a Guinness Book of World Record of “Most Traveled Musician in a Single Calendar Year” for performing at almost every known music festival.

These include Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, Lollapalooza, Fuji Rock Festival, Tomorrowland, and Electric Daisy Carnival.

Aoki is also known for his songs including Just Hold On (2016), Pursuit of Happiness (2009), and Waste it On Me (2018). Aoki also gained attention as a cross-genre solo artist after his collaborations with BTS, Maluma, Snoop Dogg, Linkin Park, blink-182, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Uzi Vert, 2 Chainz, and Daddy Yankee.

Regard and mazie 

Meanwhile, Kosovo-Albanian DJ and producer Regard is well-known for his hit 2021 song Ride It. The track took the internet and TikTok by storm and has sold over 1.7 million records in the United Kingdom.

American pop singer mazie roseto fame with her song dumb dumb (2021) that was featured in a Netflix original film Do Revenge (2022).
