SB19 to collaborate with Fil-Canadian musician August Rigo?

by Izel Abanilla

It looks like Philippine pop (P-pop) sensation SB19 is going all out with their international release as a collaboration seems to loom between the group and Fil-Canadian songwriter and record producer August Rigo. He was behind some of the hits of global superstars Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, One Direction, Sean Kingston, Music Soulchild and more.

In a tweet on Sunday (November 20), the group composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin posted a photo of them meeting the record producer and teased of something to come in the future.

“Nice to finally meet you, @augustrigo. We’re really stoked for what’s to come!” SB19 tweeted.

Rigo seemed to chip in a confirmatory response to the group when he retweeted their post and said, “Vibes guys. Can’t wait to create more with you all!”

SB19 had just come off from the successful US legs of their WYAT (Where You At) concert tour which started in New York last November 5, followed by Los Angeles on November 12 and finished off in San Francisco on November 18.

They are set to cap their tour in Singapore on November 27.

Upon their visit to the US, the group had significant activities that trended online prior to their concerts.

The boys started off their US tour with a visit to the Philippine Consul General Elmer Cato in New York at the Sentro Rizal. They serenaded the diplomat with their hit song “Mapa” while proudly wearing their baring tagalog.

They also debuted their first live American television guest appearance on “Good Day America” at Fox 5 New York.

They also hope to collaborate with Grammy award-winning international superstar Bruno Mars who is also proud of his Filipino roots.
